Winter WOB Tour (days 46-48)
Friday Feb. 19-Sunday Feb. 21
Friday morning I took advantage of the gym in our friends condo complex and then we both enjoyed the pool.
The show that night was in downtown Tampa and was the usual World of Beer show. A few happy, responsive audience members, but for the most part, people talked among themselves.
Saturday morning our hosts treated us to a delicious breakfast and then I ran a few errands. We all headed out to play disc golf that afternoon. I can’t throw a frisbee to save my life so I volunteered to be on dog duty and let Curtiss play. It was fun walking around and watching everyone else play.
The show Saturday night was in Brandon, just down the road from where we were staying. This was by far one of the better World of Beer shows- and it couldn’t have come at a better time! Rightfully so, Curtiss was getting a little exhausted from the non-responsive crowds at the previous shows, so this was just what he needed!
Sunday morning we slept in until about 9:30 and awoke to our hosts and their friends who had just gotten home from a soccer game, with fresh bagels. We eagerly joined them. They spoiled us the whole weekend!
After lunch we all piled in the car and drove over to St. Pete, where there was a big dog park and dog beach. The dogs were in heaven!!!
There had to have been 100 dogs along this whole beach and we were both impressed at how well behaved the dogs (and their humans) were.
We went downtown St. Pete & treated our hosts to a yummy dinner at a Mexican restaurant as a thank you for having us at their condo. After dinner we walked through town to an outside bar and had a few drinks. The dogs were in tow and loving all the exploring!
