Winter WOB Tour (days 69-70)
Friday March 11-Saturday March 12
We left Friday morning from The Keys. We stopped off at a cool gift shop:
We also were able to connect with a family I worked closely with in Juneau, who is now stationed in Homestead, FL with The Coast Guard. Unfortunately we weren’t able to stay long, but at least got to play and visit!
We had planned to camp at a KOA near Fort Myers, however, traffic leaving The Keys, combined with our extra stops, meant we weren’t going to make the campground, set up camp and then still make the show in time. We ended up getting a hotel instead.
This was where we learned Hotwire & pet friendly isn’t the best combo. The hotwire location we got booked at (we did the blind pick), put us at a “pet friendly” hotel…with a $150 pet charge. However, despite calling and telling them we had dogs on our online reservation, they never charged us. We were thrilled for their mistake!
Friday nights show was in Fort Myers. It was a fun show, and the dogs got to hang with us for a while! Saturday night was in Brandon, so we were able to stay another night with our friends who live just down the road!
After the weekend, we only had ONE World of Beer left…WAAAAHOOO!!!!
